You are skilled in a type of artistic expression, which may encompass a variety of specific methods, and you know how to put on a show.

Each of the nine Sub skills of the Perform skill includes a variety of methods, instruments, or techniques, a small list of which is provided for each category below.

Act

This includes comedy, drama, mime and similar.

Comedy

This includes buffoonery, limericks, joke-telling and similar.

Dance

This includes ballet, waltz, jig and similar.

Electric instruments

This includes Synthesizers and similar fully electric means of performing music.

Keyboard instruments

This includes harpsichord, piano, pipe organ and similar.

Oratory

This includes epic, ode, storytelling and similar.

Percussion instruments

This includes bells, chimes, drums, gong and similar.

String instruments

This includes fiddle, harp, lute, mandolin and similar.

Wind instruments

This includes flute, pan pipes, recorder, trumpet and similar.

Sing

This includes ballad, chant, melody and similar.

Impress audiences

You can impress audiences with talent and skill.

This is handled as Diplomacy Change Attitude sub skill, but with longer times needed and different situational modifiers. It is only suitable if a performance is suitable for the situation.

Trying to earn money

by playing in public requires anywhere from an evening’s work to a full day’s performance, at the GM’s discretion. The table below provides some examples.
