It is the only fully terraformed planet in the Suskillon system.
It was devastated in the Fall of the Federation by some sort of fleet attack and only scattered bands of humans survived and most of them died since. Parts of the surface are still not safe to stay for too long due to high radioactivity levels.
It has in the last few decades gotten many immigrants from Bayaran once space flight became viable again, being a much nicer world than Bayaran.
